Petrol prices drop after three consecutive hikes
VOV.VN - The retail prices of petrol were revised down while those of diesel, kerosene were up from 3pm on January 23 by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ministry of Finance.
Accordingly, the price of RON 95-III, the most commonly used fuel in Vietnam, dropped by VND78 to VND21,142 per litre. Meanwhile, the price of E5 RON 92 biofuel was also revised down by VND158to a maximum of VND20,592 per litre.
Elsewhere, the prices of diesel 0.05S and kerosene were capped at VND20,194 per litre and VND20,110 per litre, increasing by VND412 and VND404 per litre, respectively.
Mazut 180CST 3.5S was sold at no more than VND17,752 per kilogram, up VND571.
In this price adjustment, the two ministries decided not to use the petrol price stabilization fund.
