Petrol prices drop after three consecutive hikes

VOV.VN - Domestic retail prices of petrol endured a slight decrease from 15:00 p.m. on July 27, according to an announcement made by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

The latest changes caused the price of E5RON92 to fall by VND112 to VND20,498 per litre, whilst RON95-III also dropped by VND102 to VND21,681 per litre.

The prices of diesel 0.05S and kerosene are capped at VND16,375 and VND15,398 per litre, down by VND198 and VND105 per litre, respectively.

Moreover, Mazut 180CST 3.5S is now sold at no more than VND15,522 per kilo, representing a decrease of VND148 per kilo.

This marks the first time that petrol prices have witnessed a downward trajectory after previously recording three consecutive increases.

In order to set these latest prices, both ministries have used the Price Stabilisation Fund for E5RON92 at VND1,300 per litre and RON95 at VND350 per litre.

The ministries review fuel prices every 15 days in order to adjust domestic prices in accordance with global market fluctuations.
