Market connectivity boosts Vietnamese fruit exports to China
VOV.VN - As demand for tropical fruit continues to rise in China, trade promotion activities are becoming a key driver of efforts by Vietnamese businesses to expand fruit exports to the highly lucrative market.
The Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade recently organized a trade and investment delegation on Vietnamese fruit in Guangxi, China, aimed at strengthening business connections, boosting exports and exploring deep-processing opportunities.
A key event of the program was a fruit trade connectivity conference, which attracted more than 300 representatives from businesses, importers, distribution systems and e-commerce platforms. The event created direct links between suppliers and buyers, thereby shortening supply chains and facilitating trade.
At the event, Vietnamese businesses not only promoted their products but also gained insights into changing consumer preferences in China. Chinese consumers are showing growing interest in products with clear traceability, stable quality, food safety compliance and environmentally friendly production standards.
Vietnamese businesses also actively engaged with potential partners to expand distribution networks and build long-term partnerships in the Chinese market.
In addition to trade promotion activities, the delegation surveyed logistics and high-tech agricultural models in Guangxi, including the intelligent operations center at Qinzhou Port, where automation and digital management technologies are applied.
Businesses also showed strong interest in the use of artificial intelligence in agricultural product classification and quality control. Visits to these modern production models helped businesses better define strategies for upgrading value chains.
Amid intensifying competition, improving product quality, optimizing logistics and expanding partner networks will be key to increasing the market share of Vietnamese fruit in China.
