The event has been co-organised by Reed Tradex Vietnam along with a number of domestic and foreign units from Ho Chi Minh City.
Both local and foreign businesses are showcasing a range of cutting-edge machines and equipment used to develop the metal processing industry, new technologies and solutions suitable for the welding industry, and modern industrial robots.
Vu Trong Tai, general director of Reed Tradex Vietnam, said there is an increasing demand among the domestic market for automated machines, thus requiring local manufacturers to acquire the latest technology and solutions in order to increase their competitiveness.
Tai added that the series of expositions has enjoyed constant expansion in terms of scale since debuting 10 years ago, noting that the event provides a venue for domestic and foreign manufacturers to learn about the latest technologies and trends of the supporting industry, demonstrating their advanced machines and equipment and sharing practical solutions in order to optimize production capabilities.
K. Srikar Reddy, India's Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City highlighted the significance of the event, saying India is proud to be the national partner of the exhibition as it provides an array of opportunities for many Indian mechanical producers to introduce their latest technologies and products to Vietnamese and international customers.
A series of activities are to be held before the event closes on October 12.
