The Australian Anti-Dumping Commission (ADC) issued the final conclusion on June 24 for the final review of the anti-dumping duties for aluminum extrusions originating from both Vietnam and Malaysia.
The ADC decided not to continue imposing anti-dumping taxes placed on the goods subject to review.
The Australian commission noted that the amount of aluminum extrusions imported from Malaysia and Vietnam accounted for a relatively small proportion in the Australian market over the past five years, adding that the imposition of anti-dumping measures has not made a significant impact on its domestic aluminum industry.
Meanwhile, the TRAV reported that the anti-dumping tax rates of 1.9% applied on aluminum extrusions imported from the Vietnamese market expired as of June 27.
The ADC started its final review on 15 September 2021, after considering the request made up Capral Limited, a manufacturer of aluminium extrusions in Australia. The review took place from July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2021.
