President visits workers in Binh Duong
(VOV) - President Truong Tan Sang visited workers in Binh Duong province’s Ben Cat district on February 11, meeting with those who could not return home for the Tet holiday.
Touring the workers’ boarding houses, Sang attentively asked about their health, their life, and their job and income. He also inquired about the trade union activities undertaken to protect the workers’ legitimate interests.
Earlier, the President also visited and extended New Year greetings to workers at Friesland Campina Vietnam—a joint venture between Vietnam and the Netherlands located in the southern province of Binh Duong.
Deputy General Director Tran Quoc Huan briefed Sang on the company’s development over the last 16 years. He stressed his company has generated employment for around 15,000 people, including both direct and indirect labourers.
Sang appreciated the efforts made by the company’s leaders and workers. He hoped the company would continue to care for its workers, and that the workers would do their best to contribute to the company’s success.
Sang also presented gifts to the workers to mark the arrival of the Lunar New Year.
