PM visits Nghe An province
VOV.VN - On August 15, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited Nam Giang commune, Nam Dan district, central Nghe An province.
In his remarks, the government leader urged the local authorities to pay more attention to improving people’s living conditions in addition to upgrading local infrastructure.
PM Phuc praised Nghe An’s achievements in building new-style rural areas, and maintaining political security, social order and safety over recent years.
However, he pointed out the locality's limitations such as low per-capital income, high poverty rate and weak competitiveness.
He suggested the province should restructure agricultural production and increase the application of technological advances in production to create added value.
The same day, the cabinet leader and his entourage visited Nam Giang, a new-style commune in Nam Dan district, where he called for more efforts to restructure local agricultural production.
During his trip to Nghe An, PM Phuc inspected a number of projects in Nghe An including the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park, the Vissai and Cua Lo Port Construction Projects, and the Vinh-Cua Lo Highway Project.
