Party Central Committee’s 11th plenum discusses personnel work
(VOV) -On May 4, the 11th meeting of the Party Central Committee opened in Hanoi, discussing a host of important issues including the personnel plan.
Issues tabled for discussion covered the personnel work of the 12th Party Central Committee, the numbers and allocation of delegates to the 12th congress, the organizational model of local administrations, the Long Thanh airport construction project, and reports on matters that were resolved after the 10th plenum.
In his speech, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong underscored the need to revamp draft documents for submission to the 12th congress with a major focus on the personnel plan in line with Party statute.
At this meeting, the Party Central Government should give opinions on personnel work to provide a firm foundation for key positions involved in the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the 12th Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission and state agencies for the 2016 -2021 term, Trong stressed.
Trong said that it is crucial to set up a Party Central Committee who can play the role of a political leading body with strong fighting spirit and be a center of solidarity and consensus for the Party and the entire nation. He cited the importance of this task saying it could decide the future of the Party and the nation
The Party leader also called on every Party member to raise the sense of responsibility, to fulfill all assigned tasks to make the 11th meeting of the Party Central Committee a great success.
As planned, the 11th plenum runs until the end of May 7.
