National conference reviews anti-corruption work

VOV.VN - The national conference on corruption prevention and fight which opened in Hanoi on June 25, is of great significance as it gave an in-depth analysis of the results and identified pending issues and limitations in anti-corruption work after a first half term of realizing the 12th Party Congress’s resolution.

The conference also outlined the orientations, tasks and key solutions for the second half of this term and the next term.

On the threshold of the event, Vo Van Dung, member of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and deputy head of the PCC Committee for Internal Affairs – a standing body of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption (CSCAC), says the results of anti-corruption efforts in recent times have had a strong impact, giving a strong warning, and preventing negative phenomena and corruption so as to build a transparent and upright Party and State apparatus and make the whole political system pure and strong.

Anti-corruption work has also contributed to enhancing the trust of officials, party members and people, creating fresh motivation and extra momentum for the whole Party and people to successfully implement the 12th Party Congress’s resolution.

People from all walks of life across the country acknowledged the positive outcomes of anti-corruption efforts and praised the Party’s political determination to combat corruption. They also emphasized the importance of fighting-corruption otherwise it would undermine sustainability of socio-economic development and political strength.

Anti-corruption plays a crucial role in national development, requiring full effort of society, and regular inspection and supervision from both competent agencies and people.
