NA’s third plenary session: Reform, unity, and innovation

VOV.VN - The third session of the 14th National Assembly concluded on June 21 in Hanoi after one month of working with the adoption of important draft laws and deciding major socio-economic issues.
The session marked major innovations aiming to improve the quality and efficiency of the law-making body's activities.
The National Assembly reformed to seek better solutions to agriculture, healthcare, and public investment boost economic growth.
This National Assembly session showed a sense of reform, unity, and innovation and its actions have served the interest of the people and the nation. The deputies discussed public opinions on legislation and oversight.
The National Assembly’s 3rd session continued to specify contents of the Constitution and fine tune regulations on the socialist-oriented market economy and economic restructuring to lay a firm legal foundation for socio-economic development in the new period.
The legislature adopted 12 draft laws regarding human rights, civil rights, production, and socio-economic management, and 12 resolutions, and discussed 6 draft laws. A resolution on handling bad debts will take effect on August 15, 2017.
The National Assembly’s oversight function has focused on the enforcement of the law and food safety. The Q&A session was extended to 3 days.
At the session, the legislators’ right to debate was promoted in the frank, responsible and constructive spirit. Also through the Q &A session, ministers and cabinet members can fully explain what they have done, being done or not done yet; point out difficulties, and give future orientations and feasible measures.

The third session of the 14th National Assembly continued to see innovations, creativeness and action for the sake of people and the country.
