PM Phuc hails US congress' support for partnership with Vietnam

At a reception on October 16 in Hanoi for Chairman of the US House Foreign Affairs Sub-Committee on Asia and the Pacific Ted Yoho, PM Phuc said Vietnam treasures ties with the US and desires to promote the comprehensive partnership on the basis of respect for each other’s independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and political regime. 

PM Phuc applauded the positive and substantive development of Vietnam-US relations in bilateral, regional and global aspects, saying he welcomes US lawmakers’ visits to Vietnam to consolidate friendship between the two countries.

Chairman Yoho, for his part, pledged his greater efforts to enhance trade and culture exchanges and the sharing of law making experience to bring the US-Vietnam comprehensive partnership to a higher level.
