Japan Ambassador welcomed in Hanoi

VOV.VN - On June 2, politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Dinh The Huynh received in Hanoi Japan Ambassador to Vietnam Fukada Hiroshi.

Huynh praised Japan’s ODA provision for Vietnam, saying he hopes the two sides would effectively implement agreements signed by their leaders, maintain high-ranking visits and contacts, further connectivity between the two economies, and increase bilateral cooperation at regional and global forums.

He expressed his wish that the two nations will make greater efforts to effectively implement agreements signed between their leaders, especially those reached during General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s official visit to Japan in September last year.

The Party official used the occasion to congratulate Japan on successfully organising the expanded G7 Summit and praised the Japanese diplomat for his contributions to Vietnam-Japan relations. He also asked the Japan Ambassador to work with the relevant Vietnamese agencies to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

Ambassador Fukada Hiroshi pledged his effort to step up bilateral cooperation in infrastructure, climate change adaptation, improving public management capacity, and the business environment, developing support industries, agriculture, and human resource training.
