VR experience to take Da Nang residents back to 1945 Ba Dinh Square
VOV.VN - Residents and tourists in the central city of Da Nang will have the opportunity to travel back in time to September 2, 1945, through a virtual reality program titled "Returning to the Sacred Moment" at APEC Park from September 2 to 4.
Through virtual reality (VR) technology, visitors in the coastal city will be brought to Ba Dinh Square to witness the historic moment when President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, founding the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on the afternoon of September 2, 1945.
Participants can step into the atmosphere of Ba Dinh Square on that historic day, joining the crowd facing the grandstand to listen to President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration and feeling the spirit of the nation's first day of independence and freedom.
The program is organized by the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) in coordination with the Da Nang Municipal Party Committee and the Da Nang Municipal People's Committee.
Taking place during the 81st anniversary of National Day, the event follows a successful run at Independence Palace in Ho Chi Minh City from August 19 to 21, which drew over 8,000 participants.
"Returning to the Sacred Moment" debuted in Ha Noi during the 80th National Day anniversary in 2025, attracting around 35,000 participants, before moving to Quang Ninh in September 2025.
From May 17 to 19, 2026, the experience welcomed more than 3,000 visitors at the Kim Lien Special National Relic Site in Vietnam’s central province of Nghe An.
Organizers expect the Da Nang edition to make a strong impression on the public during this year's National Day holiday.
