Vietnamese culture featured at Israeli painter's exhibition
VOV.VN - A number of artworks featuring Vietnamese culture and people created by Israeli artist Jennifer Amouyal are being showcased at an exhibition that opened in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv on October 26.
The even drew the participation of numerous ambassadors from the Asia-Pacific region in Israel, along with a number of international visitors. It opened with the title WANDERLUST and featured a wide range of artworks showcasing Vietnamese landscapes and people.
The Israeli artist stated that she spent one month discovering Vietnam during her visit three years ago and she was greatly impressed by Vienam, its land and people, especially the Mong ethnic minority people in the northern Lao Cai province.
The painter added that she is scheduled to return to the nation soon and will donate a large part of the proceeds from the exhibition to purchase books for children and support disadvantaged women from Lao Cai province.
Upon attending the exhibition, Dang Tu Anh, spouse of the Vietnamese Ambassador to Israel Do Minh Hung, expressed hope that through the artworks, visitors will be able to gain deeper insights into Vietnamese culture and people as a contribution to deepening mutual understanding, and reinforcing solidarity, and friendship between both nations.
