Vietnamese culinary culture introduced in Laos
VOV.VN - A multinational culinary festival opened at the National University of Laos in Vientiane capital on Dec. 23, attracting thousands of students, including Vietnamese students studying in Laos.
A diverse range of traditional Vietnamese cuisine were introduced at the event, with all of the dishes being prepared and served by students from the University’s Vietnamese Department.
The annual event, organised by the National University of Laos, aims to offer an ideal platform in which students from the various faculties that make up the university can strengthen cultural exchanges and gain greater insights into different cultures, along with sampling culinary specialties from various countries throughout the region and around the world.
According to organisers, this year’s event drew the participation of students from the German, Vietnamese, Russian, French, English, and Laotian Departments. Those taking part in the function put typical dishes from their respective nations on display across 12 booths, helping visitors learn more about the land, people, and cultures of each nation.
