Vietnamese-Chinese boy crowned Int’l Vietnamese Cultural Ambassador title
VOV.VN - Vietnamese-Chinese boy Wang An Nam has successfully surpassed many strong rivals to become the winner of the contest "Searching for International Vietnamese Cultural Ambassadors".
During the grand finale held on January 12 at the Vietnam - Australia Inter-level School in Hanoi, the boy from Ngo Gia Tu Secondary School in Hanoi clinched top prize with his eloquent presentation about a costume that blended historical spirit and modern aesthetics, inspired by the Hung Kings era.
Elsewhere, first and second runners-up titles of the contest went to Tran Tue Anh of Phenikaa School in Hanoi and Vu Doan Tue Minh of Luong Khanh Thien Secondary School in the northern city of Hai Phong.
The contest was organised in the form of a reality game show, featuring presentations in English and Vietnamese with the aim of conveying the message of "The young generation preserves, conserves and promotes the cultural traditions, history, country and people of Vietnam".
The competition is for children aged six to 17 who live in Vietnam and love and understand both history and literature, specifically for those who want to learn about traditional costumes and cultural customs of the region, offering them a chance to use presentation and public speaking skills.
Hundreds of students from primary, secondary, and high schools across Hanoi participated in the contest, with 72 finalists competing in rounds that included presentations, debates, quick-response questions, and traditional costume displays representing the diverse cultures of Vietnam.
According to the organising board, 20 outstanding faces from the contest will take part in the international competition in Singapore ahead in 2025.
