Vietnam wins big at Pyongyang Spring Friendship Art Festival

VOV.VN - Ri Ho Jun, chargé d'affaires of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Embassy in Vietnam, on May 26 presented prizes to Vietnamese winners of the 32nd April Spring Friendship Art Festival in Pyongyang.

The festival was held in the DPRK in April, and Vietnamese artists participated in the event online as the COVID-19 outbreak reached its peak in Vietnam.

The programme “Ánh dương mùa xuân” or “Spring sunshine” in English performed by artists of Vietnam National Music Song and Dance Theatre bagged 11 gold and four silver medals.

The art show, directed by Meritorious Artist Do An, consisted of 13 unique dance and music performances, aimed at introducing traditional Vietnamese culture to both audiences in the DPRK and international friends.

The other four silver medals went to artists of the Vietnam Circus Federation.

Hundreds of artists trained hard in order to put on high-quality art performances at the festival.
