Vietnam Symphony Orchestra to host second online concert amid COVID-19 fears

VOV.VN - The Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra (VNSO) will play host to the “VNSO Online Concert 2020” through its Facebook and YouTube channels, with the concert scheduled to take place at 8 p.m. on September 12.

An array of famous global artworks are due to be played in the event, including famous pieces such as Symphony No. 5 by Mozart.

Most notably, young talent Pham Le Phuong, a winner of many local and international prizes, will be performing at the concert.

The upcoming event marks the second concert held online following the success of the “Season Opening Concert” on August 26.

The Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra had previously devised plans aimed at hosting the “Season Opening Concert” at the Hanoi Opera House at 8 p.m. on August 26. However, due to the country carrying out a range of measures aimed at curbing the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the performance has been forced to be moved online.
