Vietnam Cultural Days in Manila set for August 7-8
VOV.VN - Vietnam will present a wide range of traditional arts and cultural experiences in Manila on August 7–8 as part of Vietnam Cultural Days in the Philippines 2026 to mark 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The event is jointly organised by Vietnam's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Philippines’ National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), the Philippines’ Intramuros Administration, and the Vietnamese Embassy in the Philippines.
The programme forms part of Vietnam's cultural diplomacy efforts to implement cooperation agreements reached by senior leaders of both countries, promote people-to-people exchanges and deepen bilateral friendship. It also supports Vietnam’s Cultural Diplomacy Strategy to 2030 with a vision toward 2045.
A highlight of the programme will be a special performance featuring artists from Vietnam and the Philippines. It will combine Vietnamese water puppetry, traditional puppetry and folk music with traditional Filipino performances, celebrating the cultural diversity of both countries and the spirit of cultural exchange.
In addition to stage performances, the programme will feature Vietnamese coffee culture, fashion displays and a variety of interactive cultural activities, giving Filipino audiences opportunities to experience Vietnam's traditions and contemporary creativity.
Through diverse activities, Vietnam aims to showcase its rich cultural heritage, creativity and hospitality, while promoting the enduring friendship and cooperation between the peoples of Vietnam and the Philippines.
