Venezuelan folk music to fete ties with Vietnam
Artists from Venezuela will present a performance of traditional folk music in Hanoi, Haiphong and Quang Ninh Province from July 5-11.
The concerts are part of a Culture Week to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Vietnam-Venezuela diplomatic relations and Venezuela's National Day.
The Carota, Nema and Taja troupe will start performances at the Workers' Theatre on 42 Trang Tien Street, Hanoi, on July 5.
It will also perform at the Vietnam-Japan Labour and Culture Palace in Quang Ninh Province on July 9 and then at the Haiphong Opera House two days later.
All performances are free of charge, but require invitations. Venezuelan films will also be screened.
On the sidelines of the week, a display entitled Creating and Developing a Liberated Culture will present fine handicrafts by Venezuela's underprivileged craftsmen.
It will be at the Van Ho Exhibition Centre, No 2 Hoa Lu, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi.
