Traditional Vietnamese arts staged in Russia to mark 75 years of diplomatic ties
VOV.VN - Following the successful performance on July 17, the Le Ngoc Stage continued its cultural exchange and art program titled The Vietnam-Russia Friendship Epic on July 18 at the Moscow Folk Art Center.

The event was held as part of cultural activities marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Russia.
The program was introduced by the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the Russian Ministry of Culture, with support from the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia and Rosconcert, a cultural agency under the Russian Ministry of Culture.
The Vietnam–Russia Friendship Epic featured more than 10 meticulously choreographed performances, presented as an epic with successive chapters of music, poetry, and dance. The program included dance and vocal performances (in both Vietnamese and Russian), an Ao dai (Vietnamese traditional dress) showcase, and traditional Vietnamese art forms. These were performed by renowned Vietnamese artists including People’s Artists Le Ngoc and Trinh Thuy Mui, Meritorious Artists Nguyen Thi Hai Yen and Hoang Tung, along with the Le Ngoc Stage ensemble.
A large audience, including members of the Vietnamese community in Russia and Russian friends, attended the event and warmly applauded the artists throughout the show.
Ekateria Makarova, a journalist from Russia’s Sputnik news agency, said she closely follows cultural events between the two countries and was particularly excited by the performances, especially moved to hear Vietnamese artists sing Russian songs. She noted that following the visit of Party General Secretary To Lam and his spouse Ngo Phuong Ly to Russia, cultural exchanges between the two sides are expected to grow even more vibrant, and she expressed hope that many similar events will take place in the future.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi, who gave welcome remarks, said the program was a meaningful act of cultural diplomacy that contributes to promoting Vietnam’s image, heritage, and traditions among Russian and international friends.
He added that more cultural exchanges are planned, notably the first-ever Vietnamese Cultural Festival to be held at Manezhnaya Square in central Moscow. The event will be jointly organized by the Moscow administration and the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia. The Ambassador extended a warm invitation to all Russian friends to participate in all activities within the event.
