Thuy Van wins top prize at Asia Arts Festival 2022

VOV.VN - Vietnamese singer Thuy Van claimed the Golden Prize in vocal solo at the ninth Asia Arts Festival in Singapore.

Van performed a song in Italian and was highly praised by the judging panel. The teenager said it took her a total of two months to practice the song with her teacher Dao To Loan.

Elsewhere, Vietnamese representative Vu Huyen Dieu, also known as Bella Vu, was able to win a gold medal in vocal music and a silver in piano at the competition.

The 2022 Asia Arts Festival attracted a number of contestants of all ages from 17 countries globally, including the United States, China, Japan, and Australia. Participants were given a platform to showcase their skills in different genres of performing art.

The judges presented golden prizes to the entrants with the best performances in the categories of solo, duo, trio, as well as small and large groups.

The annual event provides opportunities, particularly for young people, to perform and learn from other skilled artists.
