Thuy Tien bows out of Top 10 of Miss Grand Slam 2021
VOV.VN - Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien, the winner of Miss Grand International 2021, has been eliminated from the Top 10 of Miss Grand Slam 2021, as announced by Global Beauties.
The Ho Chi Minh City native had been the only Vietnamese representative to make the Top 20 of Miss Grand Slam 2021 and ultimately failed to progress to the Top 10 of the competition, eventually being placed 19th place in the rankings.
Previously, the other Vietnamese representative Kim Duyen, a Top 16 finisher at Miss Universe 2021, also finished her journey at the event by coming in at 25th.
The Top 10 of the competition witnessed the presence of several leading beauty queens from around the globe, including Harnaaz Sandhu, Miss Universe 2021, Karolina Bielawska, Miss World 2021, and Chanique Rabe, Miss Supranational 2021.
The Miss Grand Slam Pageant was originally founded by Miss Grand Slam Organization (MGSO) back in 2009 with the primary aim of recognising a range of outstanding beauties from around the world.
In line with this, beauty website Global Beauties selects a number of outstanding contestants from the world’s five leading beauty pageants, including Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss International, Miss Grand International, and Miss Supranational for its annual prize, with the winner ultimately being awarded with the Miss Grand Slam title.
Back in Miss Grand Slam 2018, local representative H’Hen Nie, a Top 5 finisher at Miss Universe 2018, was among the Top 10 finalists, thereby marking the best ever achievement for Vietnamese beauty in the rankings.
