Thu Uyen to vie for Miss Earth 2026 crown in Philippines
VOV.VN - Pham Hoang Thu Uyen has been announced to represent Vietnam at the upcoming Miss Earth 2026 pageant scheduled to take place in the Philippines this November.
Thu Uyen received her sash on July 4 during a ceremony attended by reigning Miss Earth 2025 Natálie Puškinová, marking the start of her preparations for the international pageant.
The 28-year-old beauty revealed her priority was not the competition’s final ranking but the responsibility of representing Vietnam on the international stage.
“Every word, action and interaction contributes to how Vietnam is perceived by international audiences,” she said, adding that she would prepare thoroughly to present herself and her country professionally throughout the competition.
She is currently focusing on improving her English proficiency, stage performance and physical fitness while further developing an environmental project, one of the core judging components of the Miss Earth competition.
"I hope that through my journey, international audiences will see a modern, ambitious Vietnam that is always looking toward a green future," the Vietnamese beauty shared.
Born in 1998 and hailing from Hai Phong, Thu Uyen holds a degree in Business Administration. She stands 1.70 meters tall and has body measurements of 84-61-94 cm. She previously reached the Top 16 of Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 and was named Second Runner-up at Miss Tourism Vietnam Global 2024.
She received many scholarships from universities in France, the US, and the Republic of Korea. The beauty was also a delegate at the 2021 global forum of young Vietnamese intellectuals.
Established in the Philippines in 2001, Miss Earth is an international pageant that focuses on environmental protection, sustainable development, and community projects. Each year, the beauty contest brings together approximately 80 to 90 delegates from various countries and territories worldwide.
The Miss Earth 2026 final round will be organised in the Philippines this November.
