Russia has presented the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hanoi with six historic documents related to Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh during the 1945-1952 period.

At a ceremony to receive the documents in Hanoi on October 2, Ho Chi Minh Museum Director Chu Duc Tinh said the documents are rare and precious materials for the research on the relationship between the two countries.

On his part, Russian Ambassador to Vietnam A.G Kovtun said the archival copies reflect the deep historic root of the relationship between Vietnam and Russia which is built on the foundation of friendship and mutual assistance.

The documents include a report dated August 20, 1945 on Indochina-related issues of the Embassy of the Soviet Union in France and a message dated September 22, 1945 from President Ho Chi Minh to I.V. Stalin asking for help over dyke breakage, among others.
