National eSport team wins Asian championship title
(VOV) - Four Vietnamese eSport players have triumphed at the 2012 One Asian Cup (OAC), held in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from December 14–16.
The Vietnamese eSports FIFA 2 Online team, comprising Nguyen Thai Bao, Nguyen Tuan Anh, Nguyen Le Thanh Tong, and Pham Minh Duc, won all top three positions at the event.
They easily outplayed their rivals from Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia on their journey to the quarterfinals. They saved their most potent demonstration of experience and skill for the final round.
Thanh Tong emerged triumphant in the OAC.
The Vietnamese team returned home on December 17. They will receive certificates of merit from the Administration of Sports and Physical Training and the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
