Myanmar beauty crowned Miss Multicultural World in Hanoi
VOV.VN - Myanmar's Soe Myintzu Lwin claimed the Miss Multicultural World 2026 title at the pageant’s grand finale held at Ho Guom Opera House in Hanoi on June 28.
Vietnamese representative, Nguyen Tran Ha Linh, was named second runner-up and received two special awards.
Soe Myintzu Lwin, 23, outperformed 19 other contestants to claim the crown. In addition to the title, she also received the Best Body award.
Born in 2003, the Myanmar beauty queen holds a bachelor's degree in Fashion Design and Marketing from the University of Sunderland at MDIS Singapore. She currently works in fashion design and is pursuing a master's degree.
During the question-and-answer segment, she was asked what global initiative she would launch if crowned. She said she would introduce a project titled "Connecting Cultures" to promote mutual understanding among different cultures through education, youth exchanges and community engagement.
The Myanmar beauty also expressed her desire to collaborate with schools, community organisations, and international partners to encourage young people from various countries to share their stories, take pride in their cultural identities, and work together on meaningful projects.
Organisers also announced other titles of the pageant. Nathaly Jireth Salmeron Ruiz of Honduras was named first runner-up, Nguyen Tran Ha Linh of Vietnam second runner-up, Kylah Grace Giganto of the Philippines third runner-up, and Sarah Elizabeth Ortiz of the United States fourth runner-up.
Regarding the awards in sub-contests, Sarah Elizabeth Ortiz (USA) won the Best Intellectual award. Nathaly Jireth Salmeron Ruiz (Honduras) took home the Best Talent and Best National Costume awards. Nguyen Tran Ha Linh (Vietnam) secured the Best Catwalk and Best Performance of Vietnamese Ao Dai awards, and Kylah Grace Giganto (the Philippines) was delivered the Best Face and Best Media awards.
Earlier in April, Nguyen Tran Ha Linh, an 18-year-old contestant from Ninh Binh, surpassed 19 finalists of the Miss Multicultural Vietnam 2026 pageant to win the crown. She represented the hosts Vietnam to compete in the first edition of Miss Multicultural World.
