Miss World 2026 contestants explore Khanh Hoa’s cultural, tourist attractions

VOV.VN - After visiting Quang Ninh and Hai Phong, 111 Miss World 2026 contestants have continued their journey in Khanh Hoa, the final destination in their Vietnam experience before the grand finale slated for September 5.

They were divided into groups to explore the province’s cultural sites, traditional crafts, agricultural products and natural attractions. Rather than simply visiting tourist attractions, the contestants met artisans, tried making handicrafts, explored local traditions and experienced regional products.

From Cham heritage to traditional crafts

Dressed in Áo dài (traditional Vietnamese dress), one group visited the Po Nagar Cham Towers, a landmark of Cham architecture in Khanh Hoa, where they learned about the community’s cultural and spiritual traditions.

Another group visited Bau Truc pottery village, where artisans demonstrated traditional pottery-making techniques before the contestants tried their hand at shaping clay, gaining firsthand experience of the Cham people’s longstanding craft.

At My Nghiep brocade weaving village, the contestants learned about the history of Cham weaving and the cultural meanings behind traditional textile patterns, while interacting with local artisans to gain a closer look at the craft and the community that has preserved it over generations.

The contestants also visited Hon Chong, one of Nha Trang’s best-known coastal attractions, and the Khanh Hoa Museum, where they explored the province’s distinctive landscapes, history, culture and people.

At Thai An vineyard, the contestants learned about grape cultivation, picked grapes and sampled local products, before ending their journey at Hang Rai in Nui Chua National Park, where they explored the coastal scenery and captured photos and videos to promote the destination internationally.

Experiencing Vietnam before telling its story

The Khanh Hoa itinerary also gave the contestants an opportunity to become informal ambassadors for the destinations they encountered.

By meeting local people, trying traditional crafts and foods and experiencing landscapes firsthand, the contestants gained personal stories that they could later share with audiences and communities in their home countries.

This approach added another dimension to the Miss World experience in Vietnam. The country is being introduced not only through prepared promotional images, but through the contestants’ own experiences and perspectives.

Alongside tourism and cultural activities, the contestants took part in the first round of the Head to Head Challenge, which tested their communication skills, presentation and ability to express their views.

Further activities in Khanh Hoa include the Talent Show, interviews, Dances of the World and Beauty With a Purpose, ahead of the grand finale slated for September 5.
