Miss Tourism World 2022’s organisers and contestants arrive in Vietnam

VOV.VN - The organising board and several contestants of the Miss Tourism World 2022 pageant touched down in Hanoi on November 13 ahead of the final round of the beauty pageant.

John Singh, the founder of the contest, said that he could feel the great hospitality on his first visit to Vietnam after being warmly welcomed by lotus flowers and smiles from girls wearing Ao Dai, the nation’s traditional long dress, and Non La, a type of palm-leaf conical hat.

The pageant’s contestants will take part in a wide variety of activities in many localities across the country, providing a great opportunity for the country as it strives to promote its images to the world, he noted.

As many as 71 contestants are scheduled to gather in Hanoi in order to compete in the Miss Tourism World 2022 pageant.

From November 16 to November 26, the contest will tour many tourist destinations around the country, including Trang An complex and Cuc Phuong National Park in Ninh Binh province, the Hung Kings’ Temple in Phu Tho province, Moc Chau in Son La province, as well as Truc Lam Zen Monastery and Tam Dao in Vinh Phuc province.

The pageant’s final round is scheduled to run between November 27 and December 5, with the grand finale set to be held on December 3 in Vinh Phuc province.

Miss Tourism World first started back in 1991, with the event becoming one of the five largest beauty pageants in the world. The competition is expected to help popularise tourism in the host nation.
