Miss Charm Vietnam 2026 launches with focus on cultural identity
VOV.VN - Miss Charm Vietnam 2026 has officially kicked off in Ho Chi Minh City under the theme "Beauty Born from Culture" to find Vietnam's representative for the international Miss Charm pageant.
Organizers state that cultural values are put at the center of the selection process. Beyond physical appearance, contestants are expected to possess intellect, confidence, an understanding of Vietnamese culture, personal stories, and the ability to convey these heritage values through the language of the younger generation.
This direction continues the core criteria of Miss Charm, a Vietnam-initiated international pageant where culture, education, tourism, and community activities are evaluated alongside traditional beauty competition elements. Over its past three seasons, the pageant has crowned winners from Brazil, Malaysia, and Venezuela.
Reigning Miss Charm 2024 Rashmita Rasindran of Malaysia attended the launch as a jury member. The event also drew representatives from Miss Charm Philippines, Miss Charm Malaysia, Miss Charm Indonesia, and Ngo Thi Quynh Mai, Vietnam's representative at Miss Charm 2025.
A key announcement at the event was the appointment of designer Le Huu Nhan as the National Director of Miss Charm Vietnam 2026. The appointment was presented by Nguyen Thi Thuy Nga, President of Miss Charm Org and Head of the Jury.
In this role, Le Huu Nhan will guide and manage the pageant's operations, including selecting Vietnam's candidate for the global contest. Meanwhile, Trinh Hoai Nam serves as Executive Director of Miss Charm Org and Creative Director of Miss Charm Vietnam 2026.
Recruitment for Miss Charm Vietnam 2026 is now officially open. Following the application phase, the contest will move into casting, selection, and training rounds. Contestants will receive instruction in runway presentation, communication, interpersonal skills, and cultural knowledge before Vietnam's representative to Miss Charm is selected.
