Khoi leads at Asian Champs

FIDE master Nguyen Anh Khoi is leading the U12 category at the Asian Youth Chess Championship which is ongoing in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Khoi, the former world U10 champion, won all six rounds.
Ram Aravind of India came second with 4.5 points, followed by Ruslan Salimov from Kazakhstan with 4 points.
In the next round, Khoi will play Saurabh Anand of India
Vietnam has six other masters competing in the tournament but they have not reached the three ranks.
The Asian championships have attracted competitors from 13 countries and territories. They are competing in four age groups each in the open and girls’ events.
The final rounds are scheduled to be held on June 29.
