Khanh Van well performs at Miss Universe semi-finals
VOV.VN - The Miss Universe 2020 pageant kicked off with a National Costume contest in Florida, the United States, on May 14, with Nguyen Tran Khanh Van, representing Vietnam, well performing on the stage.
After impressing the audience with the cocoon costume on the previous day, Khanh Van looked sexy and graceful in her evening-gown called Dawn.
The dress designed by Gia Ky of Vietnam is inspired by the transition between darkness and light. Khanh Van wants to convey her message of family and community to the contest, said the girl’s representative.
The representative added that to highlight the fitted dress with gemstones Khanh Van’s 20-member team had spent 15 consecutive days completing the design.
Following the evening-gown contest, all the contestants entered the swimwear round, with Khanh Van still picking up steam and performing confidently on the stage.
The 69th Miss Universe pageant is currently underway in the US, featuring the participation of over 70 contestants worldwide.
Fans are given the chance to participate in a vote conducted by the Miss Universe pageant which is set to run until May 15. The winner of the vote will subsequently progress to be among the competition’s 21 finalists.
The final night is scheduled to take place on May 16 (local time).
