Junior footballer set for Brazil
Six junior players from Thua Thien-Hue community Football For All in Vietnam (FFAV) project, will join the Football for Hope event in Brazil, between July 3 and 10.
A reliable source from the organizers said that the event in the Rio de Janeiro, which is in the official scheduled of the FIFA World Cup, will attract 3 delegations from all over the world.
The delegations represent community, social developing organizations and agencies using football as a development method.
Each team will include three female and three male players aged between 15 and 18.
The delegations will have a cultural exchange programme, find effective ways to practice and learn experiences of managing football teams for development from local community teams in Rio de Janeiro. The 32 participating teams will then play friendly matches with one another.
The FFAV was kicked off in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue in 2013 for children between 6 and 15 years of age. So far, as many as 158 clubs have been set up gathering more than 16,000 local children.
