International film stars gather at Da Nang Asian Film Festival
VOV.VN - With the opening of the 4th Da Nang Asian Film Festiva(DANAFF IV) approaching, anticipation for the event continues to grow as organizers announce the lineup of international guests.
The presence of prominent names signals DANAFF’s growing appeal on the regional cinema map while generating strong excitement among film enthusiasts.
Among the most anticipated guests are Korean stars Ji Chang-wook and Jung Il-woo. According to the schedule, Ji Chang-wook will arrive in Da Nang on the evening of June 27 and attend the opening ceremony of DANAFF IV on June 28 at the Ariyana International Convention Centre Da Nang.
The actor recently shared DANAFF IV’s official poster on his personal Instagram account with more than 27.5 million followers, helping bring wider international attention to the festival.
Jung Il-woo is also set to attend the opening ceremony of DANAFF IV. The actor has recently built a special connection with Vietnamese audiences through the Vietnam-Korea co-produced film “Mang mẹ đi bỏ” (Leaving Mom). He is also expected to take part in an audience exchange session during the festival.
Another prominent guest this year is Jane Seymour, the British actress and producer known for her work in film and television. Her appearance is among the notable attractions of the upcoming event.
In addition to screen stars, this year’s festival will also welcome experts and influential figures from the international film industry, promising a festival with strong professional depth.
The 4th Da Nang Asian Film Festival, jointly organized by the Da Nang municipal People’s Committee and the Vietnam Film Development Promotion Association (VFDA), is set to take place from June 28 to July 4, 2026.
The opening and closing award ceremonies will be held at the Ariyana International Convention Centre Da Nang and broadcast live on VTV.
Hong Kong director Johnnie To, Cannes film curator join DANAFF IV jury
VOV.VN - Acclaimed Hong Kong director Johnnie To Kei-fung and Julien Rejl, artistic director of the Directors’ Fortnight section at the Cannes Film Festival, will serve on the jury for the Asian Competition section at the fourth Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF IV) in 2026.
