Homeland Spring 2025 slated for January 18

VOV.VN - The annual “Xuân Quê hương” (Homeland Spring) event, the biggest external and cultural occasion of its kind for overseas Vietnamese (OVs) during the Lunar New Year festival, will be held in Ho Chi Minh City from January 18 to January 21, 2025.

According to the State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs on December 13, the annual programme represents the biggest cultural function held for OVs worldwide on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, known locally as Tet, aiming to connect Vietnamese expats and local people.

The highlight of the programme will be a Vietnamese food festival and a cultural exchange event which will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television's VTV1 and VTV4 channels at the National Convention Centre in Hanoi on the evening of January 19.

Those wishing to join in the programme should register at https://shorturl.at/aTPqX before January 19, 2025.

Held for the first time back in 2008, the programme is a joint effort between the Foreign Ministry and competent agencies and has drawn the participation of a large number of OVs from all over the world returning to their homeland to celebrate the Lunar New Year festival.
