Hilario Segovia to perform in Vietnam
Well-known Spanish pianist Hilario Segovia will perform in Vietnam for the first time, with a chamber concert at Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, No.112 Nguyen Du Street, District 1, on November 30.
Music lovers in Vietnam will have an opportunity to enjoy a collection of music by Spanish and international musicians.
The programme will also feature the participation of two Asian artists: Nguyen Bao Anh, a Vietnamese artist of bassoon, who is currently living in Hong Kong (China) and Artistic Director of the Saigon Symphony Orchestra, and Matthew Wu - flautist and President of the Hong Kong International Flute Competition.
The repertoire will start with Beethoven Trio for Piano, Flute and Bassoon in G major, WoO. 37, and continue with Three Romances of Schumann for bassoon and piano Op. 94.
In the second half of the concert, the audience will travel to Spain with two famous compositions: Sonatina Jovenivola of Amando Blanquer, and El Albaicín (from Suite Iberia) of Maestro Isaac Albéniz.
The program will finish with Sonate for Flute & Piano of Prokofiev.
