Hanoi to host K-pop Lovers Festival 2023

VOV.VN - Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square in Hanoi is poised to welcome the return of the K-pop Lovers Festival 2023 on May 13 as part of a range of activities aimed at celebrating the 30th anniversary of joint diplomatic ties between the nation and the Republic of Korea (RoK).

The festival will feature a series of activities attracting young K-pop lovers, including an exhibition featuring K-pop idols, folk games, Korean traditional hanbok try-on, a flashmob, and displays which introduce Korean culture, tourism, and cuisine.

The highlight of the festival will be the much-anticipated performances put on by both Vietnamese and Korean artists.

Famous dancer Koo Young Back is expected to display an impressive show, whilst renowned local singers Duc Phuc and Duong Hoang Yen will also join the event.

Most notably, a K-pop singing and dancing competition will be held. Young people will have the opportunity to show off their singing and dancing skills, as well as their love for K-pop, during the course of the festival.

The winners will partake in the K-pop Cover Dance Festival World Final in the Republic of Korea in the future.

The K-pop Lovers Festival has been held annually in Vietnam since 2013. It was disrupted in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and resumed last year.

The event is organised by the Korean Culture Centre in Vietnam and will open for free. All information is updated on the website http://vietnam.korean-culture.org or Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/vietnamkcc/.
