Free screenings to welcome Hanoi International Film Festival 2022
VOV.VN - Free screenings of many Vietnamese and foreign films will be offered during the sixth Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF) 2022 that is scheduled to get underway in Hanoi from November 8 to 12.
About 40 out of 123 participating films selected from more than 50 countries will be screened for free at CGV Cinema in Vincom Center Nguyen Chi Thanh.
The opening day of the festival (November 8) will witness the screening of numerous foreign films, including “The novelist’s film” and “Once in a Summer” of the Republic of Korea, “Gentle” of Hungary, “Coda for a Captain” of Israel, as well as several Vietnamese films such as “Commandos” and “Maika: The girl from another planet”.
Short films from both Vietnam and foreign countries will also be introduced to audiences on November 9 and 11.
The list also comprises other high-revenue movies, namely “Pedro” of India, “Atlantide” of Italy, “Ambaro” of Colombia, “Close” of Belgium, “Memento Mori: Earth”, and “Blood moon party” of Vietnam.
Movie lovers will be able to receive free admission tickets at CGV Cinema from Vincom Center Nguyen Chi Thanh and the National Cinema Center.
HANIFF 2022 is returning to the capital from November 8 to 12 following a two-year hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, that aims to honour excellent international and Vietnamese cinematographic works of high artistic values.
An exhibition highlighting Hanoi’s historical monuments and cultural heritages as film locations, as well as a seminar on cinema highlights of the Republic of Korea and film production, will be organized during the festival.
