Famous Korean percussionist Gina Hyungi Lee to perform in HCMC
A concert featuring Korean percussionist Gina Hyungi Lee will take place at Soul Live Project Complex in Ho Chi Minh City’s district 3 on August 17.

The Korean artist will perform classcial music works of the 20th and 21st Century and pieces which have been composed within the last 20 years.
In addition, Gina will also introduce to the audience interesting performances of “body percussion” – creating rhythm with body parts, and “junk percussion” – with the “from-the-kitchen” set of instruments. The sound and rhythm created by the things that are close to our daily lives will definitely leave the audience in awe.
Gina Hyungi Lee, born in 1996 in the Republic of Korea, is a rising star on the solo percussion scene. Gina was awarded First Prize at the Seoul University National Competition, the Guildhall and Trinity Hall Marimba Competition and the Fermo International Percussion Competition in Italy at the age of 13.
She was awarded an ABRSM scholarship from the Royal College of Music.
