Exhibition highlights Vietnam’s tourism, cultural heritage

An exhibition will take place in the central province of Gia Lai from September 5-9 as part of Visit Vietnam Year – Gia Lai 2026, with the participation of 17 provinces and cities.

Organised by the Vietnam Exhibition Centre for Culture and Arts under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with relevant agencies, the exhibition aims to promote Vietnam’s and Gia Lai’s cultural heritage, natural assets and distinctive tourism products, while creating opportunities for the localities to connect, exchange and boost regional and inter-regional tourism cooperation.

The event will bring together 17 provinces and cities, including Dien Bien, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Quang Ngai, Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Tay Ninh, Ca Mau, Dong Thap, An Giang, Da Nang, Hue, Can Tho and Ho Chi Minh City.

Their exhibition spaces will showcase cultural heritage, natural landscapes, historical sites, festivals, craft villages, tourism products, cuisine, local specialties and One Commune One Product (OCOP) items, highlighting the diversity of Vietnam’s cultural and tourism resources.

Themed spaces will introduce UNESCO-recognised heritage sites, special national relics, tangible and intangible cultural heritage, world biosphere reserves, documentary heritage, and Vietnamese communities named among UN Tourism’s Best Tourism Villages.

Notably, the “Bridges of Memory – Connecting with the World” space will feature world heritage sites, including Angkor Wat (Cambodia), the Great Wall of China (China), the Taj Mahal (India), the Eiffel Tower (France) and the Giza Pyramids (Egypt), highlighting global heritage diversity and cultural exchange amid international integration.

Cultural and artistic programmes will highlight traditional music, folk songs and dances, ethnic costumes, ao dai and street performances.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for 7:30 pm on September 6 at the Gia Lai Provincial Convention Centre.
