Da Nang turns vibrant cultural rendezvous for Vietnam - RoK Festival 2026
VOV.VN - The Da Nang Vietnam - Republic of Korea (RoK) Festival 2026 will run from August 6 to 9 at East Sea Park in An Hai Ward and several other locations across the central city, offering a dynamic space for cultural, economic, and educational exchanges.
Marking its fifth edition since its 2022 debut, this year's expanded festival is expected to attract delegations from seven RoK localities, including Daegu, Pyeongtaek, Yongin, Osan, Gwangyang, Yeongam, and Gurye.
Over 90 organizations, enterprises, trade promotion agencies, universities, and art troupes from both countries will operate exhibition spaces and interactive booths featuring food, tourism, and services.
Cultural activities span four days at East Sea Park, with joint artistic performances by the Da Nang Traditional Art Theatre and the Yeongam troupe, a K-pop random dance competition, and demonstrations of Taekwondo alongside traditional Vietnamese martial arts. The Da Nang Fine Arts Museum will also host the Gwangyang Media Art Lab digital exhibition.
Expanding into economic and technological cooperation, the festival will cover the "Meet Korea in Da Nang 2026" conference on the afternoon of August 7. Focusing on artificial intelligence, innovation, workforce training, and technology transfer, the event expects over 200 delegates and nearly 100 RoK businesses, alongside planned memorandums of understanding between institutions of both nations.
The schedule further includes Korean film screenings, an education fair with nearly 20 RoK universities, the 1st Da Nang Friendship Diplomacy Golf Tournament, and a football exchange featuring former RoK national team players Park Joo Ho and Lee Woon Jae.
The annual event aims to strengthen people-to-people connections, broaden practical cooperation, and further forge the Vietnam - RoK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
