Concert to celebrate 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Germany diplomacy
VOV.VN - A special concert with the theme of "Berlin im licht" (Berlin in the light) is scheduled to take place on February 28 at the Opera House in Ho Chi Minh City to mark the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Germany diplomatic relations.
The event will see the performance of the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera led by conductor Le Ha My, soprano Katharine Merhling, soprano Pham Khanh Ngoc, and pianist Ferdinand Von Seebach.
Audiences will be able to enjoy the beautiful melodies of the renowned German composer Kurt Weill through a series of his songs.
In addition, Katharine Mehrling and Pham Khanh Ngoc will put on a duet performance of the Vietnamese folk song "Bèo dạt mây trôi" to the audience at the concert.
The concert is co-organised by the German Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, the Goethe-Institut in Ho Chi Minh City, AHK, and the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera.
It’s part of several activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of both nations' diplomatic ties.
