Following the lead of TH Food Chain Joint Stock Company (TH True Milk), Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk) will now be seeking to export their products to the Chinese market after gaining a license.
According to information released by the trade office of the Vietnamese Embassy in China, the General Administration of Customs of China has officially issued a transaction code which grants a Vinamik factory permission to export sweetened condensed milk products and other types of condensed milk to the Chinese market.
The move now sees the nation being home to two businesses that are eligible to export dairy products to the Chinese market.
Along with the pasteurised and modified milk products of TH True Milk that had been licensed by China’s General Administration of Customs, Chinese consumers will soon have access to Vinamilk’s condensed milk products, along with several other types of milk.
The General Administration of Customs of China stated that they will continue to review and evaluate documents of other factories belonging to Vietnamese dairy companies.
According to experts, sweetened condensed milk and other types of condensed milk are not among the key products of Vinamilk, which is the nation’s largest dairy processing firm.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development have been urged to continue providing assistance to the country’s dairy firms to gain entry to the Chinese market in order to take advantage of the preferential import tax rates that were negotiated with China over 10 years ago.
