The Vietnamese seafood businesses that are participating in the event include Thanh Ha Fish Sauce Co, Ltd, Thong Thuan Co, Ltd, Mekong Seafood Connection Company Limited, Minh Dang Co, Ltd, and Nghi Son Aquatic Product Import Export Co, Ltd.
Representatives from Vietnamese aquatic businesses noted that the event has provided a good venue for local businesses to advertise their advantageous products and to seek out new clients, particularly major seafood importers from the Republic of Korea (RoK) who could help firms make inroads into the market there.
In addition, the trade show also offers the opportunity for domestic enterprises to gain an insight into the cutting-edge technologies used in the fields of aquaculture and seafood processing which are used to improve the quality and value of aquatic products.
Nguyen Thi Nguyet Ha, Director of Thanh Ha Fish Sauce Co, Ltd, said her company possesses a closed hi-tech production line that allows the firm to supply their products to both local and foreign markets.
Ms Ha noted that the company had previously exported sauces in raw form to the RoK and Japan. After conducting surveys into a number of different foreign markets, the company is now aiming to produce high-value products such as different types of sauces, gravy, and pepper with materials from Phu Quoc
The company will launch high-quality products in the future to introduce the nation’s cuisine to the world. Currently the company’s products have enjoyed success in the RoK through distributors such as E-mart, Ha said.
Truong Huu Thong, Director of Thong Thuan Co, Ltd., said his company will make great efforts to introduce their products into the RoK market in the future.
