The opening of the fair marks the second time that An Giang has hosted the occasion, aiming to introduce a variety of Thai and Vietnamese products to local consumers across 400 stalls.
As many as 150 Vietnamese enterprises displayed their high-quality products at over 250 booths, including consumer goods, food products, agricultural products, household appliances, electronics, garments and textiles, and footwear.
Joining these domestic firms, 100 Thai businesses also showcased their products across 150 booths. Some of the high-quality Thai items on show were across multiple fields such as cosmetics, fashion, clothes, shoes, gemstones, jewelry, natural flavours, and thousands of consumer products.
Running alongside the shopping part of the event, organisers have arranged several food stalls aimed at introducing local consumers to several traditional Vietnamese dishes, as well giving guests a taste of Thailand’s culinary culture.
Local businesses have strengthened trade promotion activities and offered huge discounts on their products at the fair.
A representative of the event’s organisers stated that the occasion provided an opportunity for both consumers and businesses in An Giang province to access high-quality brands from the two countries.
Furthermore, the event will help enhance trade exchange and investment co-operation, improve product quality, and expand distribution markets throughout the locality.
The fair also gives Thai businesses the opportunity to access high-quality Vietnamese goods, whilst local firms can find partners who are able to distribute Vietnamese goods in Thailand.
The event, co-organised by Thien Viet Trade Promotion Joint Stock Company and Thai EXPO Company, is scheduled to run until December 25.
