This is the 16th centre it has set up in Vietnam to provide 25,000 items of customized goods and services to its target groups - hotels, restaurants and small- and medium-sized retailers.
The two-hectare centre has a selling acreage of 5,000m2 and employs 400 local people.
The CEO of Metro Cash & Carry Vietnam, Randy Guttery, said his company does business not only in big cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City but also in economic hubs in other cities and provinces. It has a plan to diversify its activities through various selling channels such as delivery services and payment through debit.
According to Randy, the Vietnamese market offers plenty of opportunity for foreign businesses.
