The agreement will boost economic, cultural and academic cooperation between the two municipalities, with an emphasis on water conservation, alternative energy, cybersecurity, health and biotechnology, education and agricultural technology.

The agreement will also enable companies in the City to access the Prefecture’s innovation network that includes clusters of research parks, technology incubators, universities and laboratories, together with economic development organizations, business groups and venture capital funds.

Specifically, the participants intend to support and encourage the creation of public-private partnerships to boost their cooperation activities, said Nguyen Thanh Phong, Chairman of the City People’s Committee, at the signing ceremony.

The memorandum of understanding was intended to become effective on the date signed and does not create any legally binding rights or obligations for either of the signatories to it.
