Italy, Vietnam discuss business opportunities

(VOV) -Vietnam Embassy’s Trade Office in Italy, the General Confederation of Italian Industry (Confindustria), and representatives from different associations have hosted a round-table discussion on how to enhance business cooperation between Vietnamese and Italian business.

Trade Counselor Bui Vuong Anh told the workshop in Vigevano city, Italy that the event was one in a series of activities to generate incentive conditions for businesses of both countries. 

Representatives from Italian groups such as the national petroleum group ENI, Piaggio, Ariston, Gattonini, Bonfiglioli, Datalogic, and Mapei considered Vietnam a strategic market in market expansion plan in Asia-Pacific.

Representatives from Italian industry associations made recommendations on specific contents for cooperation including technology transfer. 

The conference was held in the framework of a programme to enhance economic collaboration activities as signed between the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade and Italy’s Ministry of Economic Development last November at the first meeting of the joint commission for economic cooperation.
