Italian entrepreneurs explore Vietnam prospects

About 50 Italian entrepreneurs, mostly small-and-medium sized enterprises (SMEs), will learn about Vietnam’s market and investment opportunities at a workshop to be held in HCM City on May 24.

"Enterprise Partnerships for Development" aims to provide an opportunity for the Italian entrepreneurs to understand the potential of Vietnam as a market and investment destination, and to explore concrete opportunities of business partnerships through direct and tailored meetings with selected Vietnamese industries and institutions in the textile and clothing, footwear and leather products, and furniture sectors.

Participants will be provided with an overview of the Vietnamese economy and business opportunities for foreign investors who wish to expand their business in one of the most promising emerging markets in Southeast Asia.

The workshop is within the framework of the cooperation project "SME Cluster Development", entirely funded by the Government of Italy and implemented in Vietnam by the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), with the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment as a national counterpart.

The project helps support the development of SMEs in Vietnam and broaden the image of Italian SMEs through the promotion of trade, production and technical cooperation agreements between enterprises from both countries.
