The expo is being organised by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and represents the largest trade promotion occasion to take place in the food industry.
This year’s exhibition will be the fifth version of the event and will seek to continue to push the development of the country’s food industry, according to Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, deputy director of Export Promotion Centre for the Vietrade, during a press conference held in Ho Chi Minh City on November 1.
With 450 exhibitors from 29 cities and provinces from throughout Vietnam, in addition to participants from 23 countries worldwide in attendance at Vietnam Foodexpo 2019, a range of fantastic products will be showcased across 600 pavilions, spanning an area of 13,000 square metres.
On display will be an incredible variety of commodities, including vegetables, seafood, beverages, food ingredients, processed food, as well as food processing technology, and machinery.
The highlight of Vietnam Foodexpo 2019 will be the participation of several national brands, along with many of the industry’s biggest names, such as Hapro, Satra, Vissan, and PAN.
During the course of the four-day event, the Vietrade will co-ordinate alongside relevant agencies to organise a series of events, including an international conference relating to the Vietnamese food industry on November 14, and a seminar on investment promotion in the food processing industry on November 15.
